  • Digital ‘safety net’ paves way for electric car charging without overloading power grid

    A new dig­i­tal ‘safe­ty net’ devel­oped in the SmoothEMS project enables effi­cient local charg­ing of elec­tric vehi­cles with­out over­load­ing the grid. Test­ed at three loca­tions, includ­ing a.s.r. in Utrecht, it com­bines a user-friend­ly ener­gy man­age­ment sys­tem with Grid­shield soft­ware, ensur­ing safe elec­tric­i­ty deliv­ery and pre­vent­ing over­load.
